MYZは、家造りのコンセプトは別として、モノとして何かレトロ感を感じさせるモノを目指したいと考えていた。
その辺は、施主との打ち合わせを重ねていく上で、言葉にせずとも意識は一致していた。
っで、それは表層的な仕上げ材やアンティーク塗装のような小手先な操作ではなく、構造そのままで表現し、
ウソっぽくないものにしたいなーと。
でも、新築だから「シンピン」という現実がある訳で、それには正直でありたい。

60年代のような質感というか工法というか、「いい材料がなく精度が低かった時代に頑張ってつくった」みたいな
そんな荒い感じというか。。。
高価なアンティーク材を使ったり、一般的に手間代がかかるという工法ではなく、現代の安価な材料で、
現代の工法に一手間入れる位の感じで達成したいと。

なんかいい感じなったんじゃないかな。
大抵の人は、「コンクリートやりっ放し」というかもしれないが、すごーく現場の人の手間がかかった
「コンクリートやり過ぎ仕上げ」である。
「荒い」と「雑」は、言葉は近いような気がするが、大きく違う。
僕には、100年位前の石の建築のように見えてくる。

NDAもようやく1階のコンクリート打設となった。
ここまでの道のりは、なかなか長かった。
施工図が決まるまでに、相当のやり取りがあった。
それらは打設してしまうと何も無かったかのうように奇麗に仕上ってしまう訳だが、必ずそのみんなの苦悩は、
にじみ出ると信じている。

工芸品でも衣類でもいいが、いいモノには、それらがにじみ出ている。
それには真剣に取り組む姿勢が不可欠な訳だから、僕は取り組む人間の「曇った顔」とか「冷汗」とかが大好き。
ちょいキモイかもしれないが、真剣になればなるほど、人はそういう顔をする瞬間がある。
だから、甲子園を目指す高校球児は、僕の好きな表情をしている。

こういう仕事をさせてくれているクライアントには、ほんとーーに感謝したい。

今夜はビールをいっぱい飲もう。

監督さんに手ノコを借りて、ノコノコしてみる。

施主の家であることは当然だけど、引き渡すまでは我が子のような感覚でもある。
だからそれまでは、建物も土地は、かわいがりたい。
施主に引き渡した瞬間からは、施主に育ててもらう訳だが、それまでは愛おしいものである。
